Meet Brittany!

Providence Place would like to introduce you to Brittany Ewing, the new Development & Outcomes Officer! Brittany comes to us with 11 years of experience as a professional fundraiser and has worked in a variety of nonprofit subsectors. She possesses extensive managerial and leadership experience, which includes program development, volunteer management, planning and executing fundraising special events, fundraising campaign management, grant writing, and donor cultivation. Brittany prides herself in pursuing excellence and producing top-notch results in all that she does.

Raised in the north Dallas area, Brittany first obtained her Interior Design Advanced Professional Certification in 2014, from one of Dallas’ top Interior Design vocational trade schools. However, life took her on a different path when she began working in the nonprofit field; so, in 2016, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Texas, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Nonprofit Management and Community Resourcing.

In 2017, Brittany followed her heart and moved to San Antonio so that her and her husband, at the time boyfriend, could pursue their relationship; they married in the spring of 2018. Brittany and her husband, Terry, have 2 sons, Ethan and Elias. They enjoy going to the movies, bowling, and playing arcade and video games. Brittany especially enjoys Rock Band and Guitar Hero, and plays a mean “electric guitar” to several classic 80s rock songs.

Brittany is currently working on her Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston – Downtown, via their online program. She was also recently selected to be a new fresh face of UHD and will be one of their marketing models – as a wife, mother, and working professional she represents the diversity of the UHD student body. Her career goals are to eventually be able to move into a Chief Development Office role, helping to strengthen both the financial revenue and the mission of the organization she works for.

Additionally, Brittany serves as the Care & Connections Ministry Director and her family’s church; in this role she is responsible for visitor hospitality, membership class and orientation, new member assimilation, volunteers, small groups, and member care and support. She also serves as a local Celebrate Recovery Ministry Director – a Christ centered 12 step program. Being a victim of past trauma herself, Brittany firmly believes in trauma informed counseling and therapy and being able to live a life of restoration and healing. Lastly, Brittany is a member of several local associations including: The United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s Emerging Leaders Council, Young Nonprofit Professionals of San Antonio, San Antonio Young Professionals, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals San Antonio chapter.

It is the culmination of her professional and personal experiences, as well as God’s direction and guidance, that has led her to Providence Place. With a personal connection, she is here to share the story of the women we serve, as well as the amazing story of how Providence Place is ending the cycle of generational trauma through innovative services. She hopes to share this story with you, your friends and family, and possibly even your church, and hopes to gain your support so that Providence Place can continue pursuing our vital mission for many years to come.
