Congrats on your Retirement Connie!

Congrats on your Retirement Connie!

One of our most beloved employees retired a few weeks ago after 14-years working for Providence Place. Connie Amerson started with us as a Medical Coordinator for our SCHI program that served young adults with disabilities, then she moved to Case Manager, Residential Director and finally the Clients Services Director for My Mariposa Home.

She is trained as both a nurse and a social worker, and she served our clients from all our programs with love and attention. She also was a wonderful supervisor and mentored many employees here through the years. She was a strong figure to our many residents with disabilities and has kept in touch with many of them through the years…hundreds of young lives that she touched and taught to believe in themselves. She was also instrumental in assisting the agency when we had to change our direction and close the SCHI program, pivoting to working with trafficked and vulnerable women as the first Client Services Director of My Mariposa Home.

Connie was always willing to step into any role where she was needed, was a great role model and friend to many clients and employees and was dedicated to helping Providence Place succeed. She follows in the footsteps of many employees through our 126 years, as others will follow in her footsteps. We hope she enjoys her retirement, spending more time with her children and her much loved grandchildren…but we will miss her here at Providence Place. She will forever be a part of our history.
